Yesterday many in the Stepney community celebrated the end of Ramadan with
Eid festivities. For those of us who are not Muslim it is always great to be invited around to friends and neighbours homes for some delicious food and to share in the celebrations. Our family found the
shemi (a kind of creamy sweet dessert) to be particularly good!

parties and banquets - Jesus describes the kingdom of God like a
feast or banquet and so when we can celebrate with those around us in peace it is a sign of 'on earth as it is in heaven'. Long may the festivities continue.
