Our harvest celebrations began this week at Good Neighbours as we distributed fruit and vegetables around our community. It always strikes us that it takes far more humility to receive that to give, and so we thank God for those who invite us into their homes and allow us to do their gardening for them and gratefully accept our gifts and leave us feeling good about ourselves! The photo was taken during our reflection time afterwards when we considered what it meant to be 'peacemakers' in our community.
Next Sunday we will be celebrating Harvest with a lunch and 'festival' at St Benets Chaplaincy, 329a Mile End Road. We'll be meeting at 12 noon - so if you can, come along and join us.
