Olympic Marathon

You are probably already aware that the 2012 Olympic marathon route has been changed and it will no longer be running through Tower Hamlets. This was to be the only free event Olympic event for local people. On Tuesday evening we stood alongside 1000 other East Londoners at the annual TELCO assembly to call for the establishment of the 'people's marathon' and a return to the route that will mean that the race is run in part through East London.
