We kicked off the world cup season in style when our Wednesday team - Whitechapel Genesis FC - went away for the weekend to a Sussex farm. We combined a football match on the Friday evening against a local team with some work on the farm on the Saturday afternoon and watching the England game at The Salvation Army in Brighton in the evening. On the Sunday we attended a local church before heading home. The 18 of us had a great time as we got to know one another better, and played a bit of footie at the same time.
