We in the hope:asha community have for a long time now been concerned for members, neighbours, family and friends who are undocumented migrants living in the UK. As members of London Citizens we have been taking an active part in the Strangers into Citizens campaign that is calling for a pathway towards citizenship for long-term migrants (please see the website for all the info). We see names, faces, families and individuals when we think about this issue - not statistics. As followers of Jesus we intend to follow in his footsteps in accepting and calling for justice for the 'outsiders' amongst us. This is why we will be attending the rally in central London on 4th May. We are really keen to take along as many people as possible. The Salvation Army in Stratford are actively campaigning with us. We would love for others who are linked with The Salvation Army in the UK in any way to join with us. Yes, it is interesting! There is some cross-party support for an amnesty such as this and it has worked in other European countries. It could also be argued that our economy needs a boost of tax-payers. Fancy joining us at the rally, Johnny?
