Back in November we ran the 'Faith in Community' Badminton Tournament. It turned out to be a great success with around 40 participants so we've decided to run another one - but this time be a little more organised with it!The tournament is a joint venture between Stepney Fathers Group and the hope:asha salvation army community in Stepney. We do a lot of stuff together and are really keen to see people from different backgrounds, faiths and cultures getting together and enjoying one another's company. This is what the tournament is all about.
Here are some practical details:
Date: Saturday 14 June
Time: 1:30-5pm
Venue: Whitechapel Sports Centre
It will be a doubles competition with each team guaranteed at least 3 games and perhaps more depending on the number of entries. The competition is open to men and women who are over 16. Because this is more about people getting together than pure competition, all abilities are welcome! You can download an application form here, which must be returned by Monday 9 June to ensure entry.
